This Pasadena homemaker's name is Jeanne Bell.

My family and I moved to South Pasadena--from San Francisco--after I graduated high school five years ago; and ever since then, its become my favorite place. Although, I don't live in South Pasadena anymore, I still (really) miss it. I'm, actually, not far from it from where I am now - I'm only (about) 15 minutes away. But I've grown really attached to the place - a sentimental place. I, guess, it was a place of a "better" time in my life. I don't know how to best describe Pasadena other than its, like, suburban paradise to me--and all I picture of is the outside of Jeanne Bell's "very homey three-bedroom house" in Kill Bill.

A candy-colored clown they call the sandman

Lana, I didn't think it was possible for me to love you even more than I already do now; but it seems like that is just what happened.

Elvis is crying, Marilyn's sad

UPDATE: Check out the alternate demo version of Lana's "Lolita" below my collage - I, seriously, think I just died.

What is this I'm hearing about Lana--I mean Grant--possibly ditching her Del Rey persona? It never really bothered me much whether Lana was some manufactured product or not; and I still don't know what the truth is, but I don't really give a hoot. However, if it is true, then all I can say is that I am really, really, really enjoying the final product - don't be dirty. I'm still a BIG fan of Lana and everything she is made of - yeah, its hollywood sadcore baby--she's certainly my kind of pop and I am completely CAPTIVATED. So if the day I have to say bye-bye to Del Rey comes--as in there won't be another record for Lana, I hope that won't be the last of Grant and her team (which I'm pretty sure it won't be - they can't just abandon their adoring fans like that, right?). I would HATE to see Lana depart though - maybe I'll put together a Lana shrine (yeah) in remembrance of her? Hmmm.

Flower me pretty

This cute, cashier guy (with a pompadour) at H&M was wearing this particular shirt when I saw him - I totally dug the damn shirt and surely thought it was "vintage"; but I soon found out it was actually from Urban Outfitters when I took some random trip there and spotted it on the mannequin - you fooled me. That being said, I couldn't help but feel stoked about it because I thought this was my chance to own the (totally) awesome shirt til' I took a peak at the price tag--it was $78 - uh yeah, holy guacamole. I'm sure I could find a similar one at a thrift store for like, I don't know, about 80% cheaper; but I still, kinda want this UO's one because its conveniently there and I'm way too lazy to look elsewhere - damn them, that's probably what they wanted. I rarely find anything that I want this badly so I may end up buying it--maybe. However, I'll look around and keep my eyes peeled to see if I can actually score one like it before I give in and cough up $78. I haven't shopped for myself for the longest time ever - you should take a look at my closet; I literally have like 5 pieces of clothing. Trust me when I say I really don't invest much time and effort into my personal style - bad, right?

Anyways, the shirt totally reminds me of those mid-late sixties/early seventies-esque floral prints (that you would see on bedsheets, plates and wallpapers)--which I am a complete SUCKER for--Miuccia used in her spring 2012 menswear, along with the women's resort 2012, collection - I freaking love it, you already know.

Lolita, indeed, lost in the hood

I never listened to a Biggie song before but just found this recent (Notorious B.I.G. x Lana Del Rey) mash-up from the "Born Ready to Die" mixtape by Terry Urban and Dope Couture--which can be listened to here and downloaded there along with the rest of the tracklist--and now I can't stop playing it.

I wish this version of "Lolita"--used in the mash-up--made it onto "Born to Die":

That boy needs therapy

Hah. How. Ironic. I did therapy once before--during my senior year of high school - it was very brief. It wasn't my choice, of course--to attend therapy. I was such a mess then. And still am--but worse - in a way. I've thought about doing it again--therapy. We will see, we will see. I am skeptical. I've been on this teen-angst bullshit lately--its kind of funny actually - I am 23. I am feeling like--uhhh--Bukowski (not like I really know what it feels like to be Bukowski, but very vaguely speaking): "I don't hate people - I just feel better when they aren't around". I am just not in the mood.
